For many years, GM's Australian brand, Holden, produced the Commodore. A modern full size, rear wheel drive sedan with available V8 engines, the Commodore sold very well but wasn't offered in the North American market for many years. It eventually came in 2008 as the Pontiac G8. Based on the Zeta platform, the car was produced in Holden's Australian plant and imported from there.
